I specialize in working with individuals on attachment trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, living in recovery, ambiguous loss, and relationship to food and body. I grew up in the Midwest surrounded by water and transplanted over twenty years ago to the Pacific Northwest — another beautiful place surrounded by water. I spent many years working in the restaurant industry and later in early childhood education. I have volunteered with many organizations around Seattle and I have always loved connecting with and helping people. During graduate school I was drawn to Attachment Theory and it has been the foundation of my therapeautic approach since the beginning. As humans we are wired for connection and this is an experience I understood deeply due to my personal experience with therapy and doing the deep work of trauma recovery. During my clinical internship I worked at an inpatient drug and alcohol treatment center for women who were working on the process of recovery and tending to the disease of addiction. I graduated with a Master of Arts in Counseling from Antioch University and have been working as a mental health counselor in private practice since 2021. When I am not working with clients I enjoy cooking and reading, writing, and sharing stories about food. I also like to cold plunge, swim, play in the dirt, and take long walks around the city and in the parks and forests that surround Seattle. I believe that our work in this life is not only personal, but collective. I believe in being engaged in our democracy in an active capacity.
